When you buy one of those fancy chocolate boxes you are playing russian roulette. You might eat one that is so delicious or you might eat the ratchet peice that makes you want to throw up. You never know what you will pick or what life throws at you. One needs to find the posistive outlook on every situation. When you pick that ratchet peice of chocolate, simply wash your mouth with milk and move on.

Elvis Presley

When Forrest was a little kid he got to meet the King of Pop, Elvis Presley. Back then, Forrest still had his braces attached to his legs resulting him in making weird body movements. When Presley started to play his guitar, Forrest got excited; he danced to the music in front of Presley. Because of his braces his dances were unnatural. Presley ended up liking them so he took that same dance and made it his signature. He did that dance everywhere he went. Forrest ultimately provided Presley with his famous dance moves. Elvis was a huge icon back then and is still today.

This photo shows how alcohol effects your family. When men drink they go home all drunk, mad, and not themselves. This can lead to them hitting their wives, children, and other family members. Ultimately it leads to them getting violent. This image gives statistics of how many families are ruined by husbands drinking. "Alcohol is an enemy to the home"

President Harding does not want the people to feel like the prohibition enforcement is only temporary. He explains that people are feeling too confident that this will soon pass over.

This image shows how drinking alcohol will lower your moral values. It will make your ethics lower than it should be. It even layed out a chart and everything giving step by step ways how it leads to immorality.

The russian revolution is missing. The Russian revolution helped lead america to war because the US did not like the kaiser so when he got kicked out we were more willing to help/join the war.

WWI part 1

Militariasm- Countries were getting ready for war. They were building their armies and navies. Expanding navy bases and inventing new war weapons.
Alliances- countries were making alliances so whenever one country went to war all the countries went to war. It was like a domino effect.
Imperialism- countries felt threatened that other countries were growing. They were fighting for territory. The countries being taken over was not happy so it caused disputes.
Nationalism- everybody had pride in their own country. So typically they would put themselves first when they do something. This sometimes caused unintentional problems to other countries.

American Imperialism

When bigger empires took over smaller countries they would take alot of there natural resources. In this picture you can see how America and most of Europe took most of Africa's resources. They just marched onto Afircan territory and took whatever they wanted.

Reasons why America became an Imperialistic country:
            They felt comptetition form other countries
             New markets and trade
             Natural resources
             Wanted to put naval bases in good spots
             It was the White Man's Burden.  (our duty)

Railroads expanding! They are now reaching to islands off the southern coast of Florida.
